Po historycznej edycji, która dzięki mediom społecznościowym, transmisjom internetowym oraz emisji w najlepszym czasie antenowym na CBS i Paramount+ pokazała reining milionom widzów, droga do The Run For A Million staje się jeszcze większym i trudniejszym wyzwaniem.

The Qualifier powróci do Bosque Ranch w Weatherford w Teksasie 22 maja 2027 roku. Organizatorzy przeznaczą $200 000 dodatkowej puli nagród — dwa razy więcej niż w 2026 roku.

Dziesięciu najlepszych zawodników wywalczy miejsca w 2027 Million Dollar Competition.

Nowość w 2027 roku — droga do The Shootout

Od 2027 roku, aby uzyskać prawo startu w The Shootout, zawodnik musi znaleźć się w Top 30 The Qualifier — wraz z miejscami ex aequo.

Każde miejsce w Top 30 daje jedno miejsce kwalifikacyjne do Shootout.

Jedno z najważniejszych wydarzeń sportów western performance gromadzi czołowych zawodników reiningu, cuttingu i reined cow horse, a także dodatkowe konkurencje pokazowe. To jeden z najbardziej prestiżowych i najlepiej finansowanych tygodni rywalizacji w tej części branży jeździeckiej.

The Run For A Million jest również mocno związane z popularnym serialem Sheridana „The Last Cowboy”, który pomógł przedstawić sporty western performance znacznie szerszej publiczności.

W mojej „drugiej” pracy tworzę gwiazdy i przywracam kariery. To samo zamierzam robić tutaj — będę tworzył gwiazdy z koni i gwiazdy z zawodników. Nadal będę przyciągał nowych uczestników do tych różnych dyscyplin, ale co ważniejsze, nadal będę tworzył doświadczenie, które przyciąga uwagę publiczności.”

The Run For A Million Qualifier Returns in 2027 With $200,000 Added and New Shootout Requirement

Fresh off the heels of a history-making event that showcased the sport of reining to millions of viewers through social media, live webcasts and a prime-time CBS and Paramount+ broadcast, the road to The Run For A Million is getting bigger and tougher.

The Qualifier will return to Bosque Ranch in Weatherford, Texas, on May 22, 2027, with $200,000 in added money, double the amount offered in 2026. The top ten riders will earn spots in the 2027 Million Dollar Competition.

New for 2027, an exhibitor must earn a Top 30 (plus ties) placing, at The Qualifier to be eligible for The Shootout. Each Top 30 placing earns one qualified Shootout spot, meaning a rider who places multiple horses in the Top 30 may earn up to three spots. Qualification belongs to the rider rather than the horse, so qualified riders may compete on a different horse at The Shootout.

That makes a strong finish at The Qualifier important well beyond the 10 riders who punch their tickets directly to the Million Dollar Competition in Las Vegas.

About The Run For A Million

The Run For A Million, created by Taylor Sheridan, returns to the South Point Arena and Equestrian Center in Las Vegas August 17-21, 2027. The premier Western performance horse event brings together elite competitors in reining, cutting and reined cow horse, along with additional showcase events, for one of the richest and most anticipated weeks in the industry.

The event is closely connected to Sheridan’s hit series The Last Cowboy, which has helped introduce Western performance horse sports to a broader audience.

In 2026, The Run For A Million reached an even larger national audience when the Million Dollar Competition aired on CBS and Paramount+.

Bosque Ranch

“My goal with Bosque Ranch is to create an experience for the spectator while greatly enhancing the opportunities for the riders. In my ‘other’ job, I am a star maker and a career reviver. I will do the same thing in this space — I will make stars of the horses and stars of the riders. I will continue to attract new participants to these various disciplines, but more importantly, I will continue creating an experience that captivates an audience.”
